Daughter of the King
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
It's November!! :D I am so excited, and I do not know why. Today is my brothers birthday! Happy birthday Brother Kyle Fehr! You are twenty now. Woohoo! Today I am in a really hilarious mood. (The mood where I find everything hilarious) And the other day (yesterday) me, Melissa and Patty watched School of Rock. Well, we haven't finished it yet. Anyways, today I couldn't stop laughing. If you have seen the movie, you'll remember the part where all the kids and the teacher are like "Step off! Step off! Step Off! Step off!" I find that part so funny. So today I kept singing it to baby Hank and he loved it. And Melissa makes the best ice cream cake. (It has coffee in it.) For lunch we had the classical again. (Beans and tortillas) So good!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and yesterday I learned how to make tortillas! Cristian taught me and Shayla how. It is pretty simple actually, though I'll probably forget. I figured that I'd better learn how because when I go home I am gonna miss beans and tortillas so much. And the tortillas here are so much better than in Canada. (No offense) It was really funny though, the first tortilla I fried blew up so much. It was literally like a balloon. The past few days, as funny as they may have been, I started to miss home a lot. Yesterday, (on Halloween) I was listening to some Christmas music. And it just reminded me of the atmosphere of my home up north. We usually set up our Christmas tree in November, and then the Christmas music floods our house. It's always in the background. The classical cd's we listen to are the Alan Jackson Christmas cd, Boney M, Brad Paisley Christmas, and our Reggae Christmas cd. My favorite Christmas song is this. (insert arrow downwards) I love Christmas music though. I think there is something special in praising God through remembering what he did for us. Hallelujah! Our Messiah has come. Another cool fact: Hallelujah is the same in every single language. So yeah, I've been missing home a lot the past few days. Well, actually I've been just really excited to go home. I"m still having a blast here though. I don't even know, I am a mix of everything. Listen to this song to! And Wednesday (Maybe Tuesday) we were sorting through the donation clothes. And we found some mennonite dresses. I actually kind of like this one. Also I love this Christmas song! Oh another thing!! Yesterday I went to the beach with Melissa. Coolest thing ever. There where a bunch of pelicans there, and two of them were synchronized! And they did their tricks a bunch of times so it obviously was not a fluke. And I even got it on video, though I didn't catch all of it.
Wow, this blog post is jam packed. And here are some more pictures to make it even longer! Thanks again for reading. And one more thing! I got to skype with Megan this week! Super pumped about that because she is wonderful.
