Daughter of the King
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
Today has definitely been an interesting day! (Keep in mind I wrote this yesterday) First we went to the Phoenix Zoo. It was a ton of fun, but was it ever hot. I touched a sting ray, (and I must say, it felt really weird) saw elephants, Rhinos, ginormous turtles, a bunch of birds and snakes, giraffes, rode the carousal, and etc. Then we ate lunch in a take-out Pizza Hut.
Then we went to target, and shopped for random things. Then we had a problem. Here's the thing, Melissa was going to be arriving on a plane in Phoenix around 10:00 in the evening, and we were going to pick her up. But that would be a late night for the kids since we still had a few hours to drive after Melissa was picked up. The plan was to be right outside Mexico this night, so that we could cross the border in the morning. So Me, Brian, and all the 5 kids were going to head down to the town I can not remember the name of and go to the hotel. While Richard, Jen and Clarissa were going to stay in Phoenix, pick up Melissa and then come down later at night. Well, we were about an hour and a half away from Phoenix when Brian gets a message from Melissa saying that her flight got canceled. So now we are back in Phoenix, and Will only be leaving tomorrow after supper time. What stinks is, it's gonna cost a few hundred more dollars than originally planned, and we won't be able to arrive in Mexico when we wanted. But the good thing is, we know God is good, and his plans are sovereign. We can always trust him, even when our plans go completely a-wall. (I honestly have no idea if I used "a-wall" properly, or if it even is a word") So we'll see if God shows us why he kept us from crossing the border tomorrow. But I must say, it was quite a fun day. I had some really good laughs.
